27: At All Times

2012 Food Trip # 27

Lunch.
Hungry.
Manila temperature 36.7 C. Cooking will make it worse.
Going back to sleep is impossible.
Solution?  Holler to a friend and eat out!

Danielle and I decided to meet for lunch. Longganisa Sopresa has recently opened a branch in Maysilo. I have always wanted to try their food after seeing it in front of Ace Water Spa replacing Steak House.

I immediately ordered Iced Tea to combat the heat. I couldn't wait for the food. I loved their house blend Iced Tea. A pitcher costs P75. In fact, I crave for it every now and then especially on a super hot day.

Danielle wanted to try all kinds so we decided to get the 2012 Salute Platter for P400+. You can choose 5 types of longganisa and you get 4 cups of plain rice, 1.5 Pepsi and a dessert. Good enough!

Getting a platter lets you taste different longganisas from different places in the Phillipines. We decided to get Cabanatuan, GenSan, Calumpit, Lucban and, of course, Vigan

Aside from Vigan, a Filipino favorite, I like Calumpit. I liked its not-too-sweet and not-too-sour taste.

You can also choose from the different vinegars from different places in the Philippines that go well with longganisa namely Paombong, Tuba, Sinamak, Iloko and Pinakurat.

A slice of Sansrival was served right after the main course. It was a complete satisfying meal for two hungry ladies.

One hot day.
Hungry and too lazy to cook for the day.
Two friends who are there for each other on one "holler". Ain't that a sweet thing?!

A friend loves at all times.
