Project: Food & Thoughts No. 5

I will never let my Pangasinan trip end without adding to my 2012 Food Trips. From Lingayen, we went to Dagupan to search for the famous Matutinas Seafoods and Restaurant. I have seen this featured on TV in the past especially during the Arroyo presidency. It is said that this is her favorite restaurant in Pangasinan.

There were 5 of us hungry, tired and ready to eat so we ordered the following:

Buttered Sugpo

Deep fried Hito (catfish)

Sinigang na Milaga (2 servings)

Sinigang na Malaga (good for 2 or 3) - P220
Buttered Sugpo (good for 2)               -   230
Deep Fried Hito (good for 2 or 3)     -    200
4 Platters of Rice                                  -   200
1 Pitcher of Iced Tea                               -  150
                                                        ___________
Total -                                               P1000

We were full and satisfied. We only paid P1000. Not bad at all!

More than the food, this was our simple way of showing our gratitude to Nel who has warmly accommodated us in his hometown and in his heart. Read about this Pangasinan trip here.

Until next food trip!
